在总结前人对人的火灾行为研究经验的基础上，本文首次对陕西、山西、河南三省的169起建筑火灾逃生行为进行了问卷调查，对回收到的274份问卷的个人信息、环境信息、火灾行为反应信息进行了频率分布统计；分析了不同年龄、不同性别、不同受教育水平、不同火灾经验、在建筑物内的不同位置、不同活动状态、不同身体状况、不同获悉火警信息途径的调查对象的第?行为反应及反应时间；得出了报警求助、查证火灾信息、通知他人火灾信息等三个最高的火灾第一行为反应分布值；得到了建筑火灾中调查对象第一行为反应的时间范围及不同条件下的分布特征。
